EXAMPLE FROM THE PME PLAYBOOK?
Note from the PME Playbook:Category: Messaging
Sub-Category: Before/AfterBefore/After sections are incredibly powerful in communicating value.Paint a picture for your prospect. Show them how the new way of doing the thing is better than the old way/current way of doing things. This is also a great way of handling objections.Calendly does a fantastic job of showcasing this for their marketing use case. They also added a customer quote relevant to their "After" view that makes the message more impactful.

• If you don't think you can break even on $87 on what will be useful not just in your current role but in all your future product marketing roles, then this isn’t for you.
• Save time by readily accessing over 50+ hours (till now) of research from a product marketing practitioner. I plan to spend dedicated time on this every week to uncover more ideas that work. This is how I, as Tyler Cowen puts it - “practice my scales”
• Is $87 (2 weeks of coffee’s worth) too high of an investment in your career?
• Isn't there a learning stipend at work you can use?
• The avg. product marketer hourly rate is $70. You are getting 50+ hrs of product marketer’s research. Not to mention 100+ years of product marketing expertise of all the people who built these assets distilled into a handy playbook for $87. Damn! Maybe I should charge more?

Methodology
Good ideas come from a place of necessity not a nice-to-have. So in planning my research, I used Andy Rachleff's (VC, founder of Wealthfront, Stanford lecturer) list. Every year he publishes a list of companies that are privately held, have a revenue run rate by year-end of between $20 million and $300 million, be on a trajectory to grow at a rate in excess of 50% for at least the next three or four years, and have compelling unit economicsa.k.a Companies that don’t just have Product-Market Fit but also Product-Message fit.
How can you use PME in your CaREER?
• Turn your website into your best sales rep
• Make that next product launch messaging your best ever by copying the best ever
• Make an impact within weeks of starting your new PMM job
• Ace your next brainstorm with 100s of ideas.
• Successfully re-message/position your product
• Focus your time on strategy rather than content generation(You don’t have to tell your coworkers where you got the ideas from)
Whats different about PME?
• PME PLAYBOOK is ongoing. PME is the resource that I wish I had as a product marketer.
• PME PLAYBOOK takes a SHOW DON'T TELL approach to highlight great product marketing.
• Focus on examples rather than frameworks. Frameworks require a guide, copying examples don't.
• If you find a free resource on the internet as comprehensive as this, I'll send you this for FREE.
